The September Recipe ReDux theme is Get Your Deyhydrator On. Whether it’s extra garden bounty or a sale at the supermarket – dehydrating food is a budget-friendly way to stock up for later. You can use a food dehydrator, a low slow oven, or natural sunshine to preserve natural healthfulness. The challenge this month was to create a recipe using something that has been dehydrated.
My favorite dehydrated foods are dates and apricots. You’d never guess that this recipe is made with dried fruit though. It tastes like super thick, yummy caramel! Try it, I think you’ll like it.
