Have you jumped on the blogging one little word bandwagon yet this year? As you can see, I’m a little late to the party.
If you’re confused and have no idea what I’m talking about, bloggers all over the internet are picking one little word to focus on this year. You can read all about it AliEdwards.com.
My word for 2013 was COURAGE, and it was perfect. My year was full of stepping outside my comfort zone and doing things that required crazy amounts of courage in my personal and professional life.
I’ve known for several weeks that my word for 2014 is SHINE! It may seem difficult to believe, but all my intentions, hopes, dreams, challenges and goals are contained in that one little word.
It all started when I ran across this quote:
Goals & Intentions:
I have big plans for 2014 this year. I’ve quickly realized that I don’t need to run around finding people to save. I simply need to do my best and shine. You have no idea how freeing this feels.
Hopes & Dreams:
I hope that shining leads to astounding progress in every area of my life and helps me live the life of my dreams.
Challenges:
Shining is not easy for me. Not easy at all. In fact, it’s way outside of my comfort zone. I prefer to hang in the background, so this year is going to continue the theme of courage from 2013. I don’t know what’s in store, but I can’t wait to see.
Once I picked the word SHINE, it started showing up everywhere! Here are a few examples I liked that added confirmation I had picked the perfect word!
