I don’t know about you, but I hate muffin pans. They are such a pain to clean when food gets stuck to the side. It seems like in no time, your shiny new muffin pan doesn’t look so shiny anymore. Instead, it’s rusting and the chemical “non-peel” coating is peeling off! Gross.
Call me behind the times, but I’ve never cooked in silicone before. I was excited to try the OvenArt Bakeware Silicone Muffin Pan. My first attempt was making Apple Cinnamon Muffins. I usually bake them in a metal pan and use cupcake liners because I hate digging muffins out of the pan, and scraping the remains off later. I was absolutely amazed how well they came out. I simply let the muffins cool for a couple minutes, then pushed the silicone cup up from underneath and the muffin popped right out. Amazing!
This muffin pan is made with high-grade silicone that is BPA and filler free. It’s super easy to wash and can even be thrown in the dishwasher. It’s also safe for the freezer. I can’t wait to make my Superfood Peanut Butter Cups recipe. I wanted to include the recipe in this post, but my daughter’s wedding is tomorrow (can’t believe I’m saying that!) and I didn’t have time to make them, but keep an eye out for that later this week.
If you’ve never tried baking in silicone before, I highly suggest it. The OvenArt Bakeware muffin pan was awesome! I can’t wait to try some of their other products.
