Planning for the Holidays in your Bullet Journal

I seriously do not know where this year has gone!  I feel like I was just planning my goals for the new year, and suddenly it’s almost December!  I was pretty new to bullet journaling last Christmas, so I didn’t use my journal for any holiday planning, but I’m excited to give it a go this year.

Ideas for using your bullet journal to plan for the holidays!

There are so many details to plan around Christmas, you could probably have an entire Christmas planner!

Online Shopping Tracker

We’ve started to do most of our shopping online, so the first thing I thought of was an online shopping tracker.  With ten kids, I find it’s easy to forget what I’ve purchased, so this is going to be very helpful, and hopefully keep me on budget too.

The 4 Gift Christmas Plan

If you need some guidance for your gift giving, I love the idea below.  For each child, you buy something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.

In one of the Bullet Journal groups I’m in, one of my friends, Claire Mack said her mom extended the rhyme to be something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read. Something to share, something for hair, something sweet, and something for feet.

Isn’t that cute?  I need to make a layout that includes the other four soon.

Christmas Gift List

Next, is a basic christmas gift list with columns to track who the gift is for, the amount budgeted, the actual amount spent, the store or website where you purchased it.  Then columns to check when it’s purchased, wrapped, and delivered.

Stocking Stuffers

I’ve always loved stocking stuffers, plus stockings are just fun to draw.  I made mine a list of Bullet Journal stocking stuffers in case you need any ideas of some of the products I love and use in my bullet journal.

Traditions

I made a list that goes along with one of our favorite Christmas traditions!

I didn’t have time to draw layouts for everything, so here are a few other ideas that would make fun (and useful) layouts:

  • Christmas Card List
  • Christmas Party Invite Tracker
  • Christmas Party Guest List
  • Christmas Budget Tracker
  • Christmas Baking List
  • Christmas Eve Planner
  • Christmas Day Schedule
  • Christmas Menu
  • Christmas Craft Ideas
  • Stocking Stuffers
  • Secret Santa List
  • The 12 Days of Christmas

Are you using your Bullet Journal to stay organized this holiday season?    What types of things are you tracking?
