Slow Cooker Healthy Chili Mac

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cans hot chili beans undrained
  • 1 green peppers chopped
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 stalks celery chopped
  • 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 T. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 8 oz. package macaroni

Instructions
 

  • In skillet cook ground turkey with onion until browned.
  • Add cooked meat, beans, vegetables, tomato sauce, and spices to slow cooker.
  • Cook for 6-8 hours on low.
  • Cook macaroni in a saucepan on the stove and add to chili before serving.
  • Top with cheddar cheese, if desired.

Notes

Macaroni can be cooked ahead of time. Boil until al dente, drain, then put it in a dish with 1 T. olive oil and refrigerate until ready to add to crockpot.
