3 Things You Need to Stop Doing

I listen to some sort of personal development every morning while I workout. This morning, it was a video from Julia Kristina, who is one of my favorite personal development gurus!  She was talking about 3 reasons people have a hard time being themselves.

When I hear things that are impactful, I like to add them to my Bullet Journal.  The simple act of writing them down seems to make them stick for me.

3 things you should stop doing to be who you truly are!

Stop Doing List

Stop defining yourself by what you are NOT.  I’m not pretty, I’m not smart, I’m not thin…..you get the picture.  Instead, make a list of things you ARE!  I’m kind, I’m accepting, I’m a good cook, I’m great with kids…doesn’t that feel like a better picture?

Stop letting others, or messages from your past tell you who you are.  I was often told I was shy as a child and I’ve hung onto that identity forever, but always felt a little rebellious about being pushed into the shy corner.  Often we internalize these messages, and even when the person who said them is no longer in our life, we take over the battering and keep saying those things to ourselves.

Stop believing that you’re the only one with doubts, fears, or struggles.  We ALL have them.  Let people in and you will find that we are all more alike than we are different.  LET people love you for who you are! #mindsetshift #chooseyou

Do any of these resonate for you?
